Madeline and Wayrah at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans

About Us

My name is Amy Bowling. My husband, Brian, daughter, Madeline, and I have been raising and showing llamas since 2012. We "fell" into llamas. As horse owners, we went to a local farm to look at a miniture horse for a friend and instead returned with Wayrah. He was only about 9 months old at the time and he needed a home. After Wayrah we were hooked. We rescued three other  llamas that first year. We fell in love with their personalities, their fiber, and their intelligence. We slowly transitioned out of horses, and into fiber animals, most of which are our llamas. Our current herd consists of 15 llamas, 4 alpacas, and 8 English Angora Rabbits and 5 Cashmere goats.

My husband works full time and I have Systemic Lupus. I am not able to work full time, but do spiritual/pastoral counseling out of our house part time. We are hoping to transition to self sustaining fiber/llama farm in the next 10 years.
Madeline has involved her cousins, friends and most recently her boyfriend, Zane Hardy in showing llamas. He now owns Boom-Shacka-Lacka and works tirelesslessly on the farm, helping with all of the animals and fiber.
We love llamas and the llama community. We belong to the ILR and attend as many shows each year as possible. We live in Northern Lower Michigan and have been blessed to meet some amazing people.

Thank you for Visiting Us!
